Today's Harvest ....

Here's what we harvested today and what I plan to do with it ...

Zucchini and yellow squash ... this will be turned into a meal.  We love eating vegetables fresh from the garden!

Peaches from our peach tree ... I'll peel them, de-seed them, whiz them in my Nutribullet and then freeze in ice cube trays. After the cubes are frozen solid, I'll pop them out and freeze them in a ziplock freezer bag for future use. These peach cubes make the best smoothies!

Cucumbers ... I washed these up and laid them on a hand towel to dry.  They are being reserved for more cucumber and onions in vinegar.

Eggs ... fresh from the chicken!

What are you harvesting?

  1. My peaches and green beans are already done. We are getting tomatoes every day though and some cukes. Now that I have the squash bugs on the run we may also get zucchini.

  2. Everything looks fresh and delicious, Patsy! Yum! I didn't get to a summer garden this year, but I'm researching and hoping/planning for fall :)

  3. Eggs, green beans, zucchini, yellow squash, tomatoes....I love summertime (but not the 90 degree temps!) d

  4. I love seeing your gardening posts! I just don't get to comment as much as I wish, as I am having to catch internet where I can these days, since we are still house hunting (so living in our camper). That's going well, and I get to garden with my sister, so all good. Thanks for sharing.
