Countdown to Christmas ... 12/20/2016

We've been out and about most of the day today so our Christmas cheer came from listening to Christmas music, singing along and enjoying a box of chocolates together while waiting in our vehicle for something to get ready that we needed to pick-up.

The box of chocolates was one of those mixed variety types that are so popular this time of the year.  It was on clearance and we had to look at the insert to know what each piece was. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, trying what sounded good to each of us and sharing with one another when we came across one that we really enjoyed.  We enjoyed ourselves, excercised restraint (see, we didn't eat the whole thing) and made a memory that we will cherish ... while we listened to Christmas music and waited!

The simple things!

What did you do on your journey toward Christmas today?

  2. Sounds yummy! I have received many homemade treats as gifts and we also received a box of chocolates. I don't know how much restraint I've shown though! Lol! Good thing we aren't diabetic.

  3. Well, God has forced me to slow down this season. Always trying to do everything for everyone got me a bad case of pneumonia. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. :} Merry Christmas to you and yours. Sounds like a fun day.

    1. Barbara, so sorry to hear that you are sick. Realizing I can't do all the things I was able to do when I was younger has been a hard thing for me to accept. I too, feel the effects in my health when I overdo. Please take care of yourself and you have my prayers.

  4. That sounds like fun! We watched the Boston Pops Holiday Concert on PBS last night and enjoyed every minute of it. I made truffles for the first time yesterday. Yummy. Every time I open the fridge and see them I think it is a container of meatballs....that might keep them safe for a few days! :)
