Happy First Day of Spring ... one day late!!!  I hope it is warm and pretty and that your yards are filled with spring flowers and plenty of spring color.

Before we get into this week's 'the ways of my household' post here's a little FYI kind of information for you ... Beginning this week I’m going to pull the pantry filling part of this post out and go back to giving it it’s own post again.  Look for the first Pantry Challenge post of 2017 later this week.

Frugal is as frugal does, so let's see how we did last week ...

We lowered our cell phone bill by $70/month starting in April.  This is a savings of $630 for the rest of the year.   We’ll take it!

Downloaded 4 free patterns for 18 inch dolls over at Pixie Faire!  Thank you to the lovely person who told me about this site.  I’m sorry I don’t remember who it was!

My husband needed new dress pants. Belks had a sale buy one get two free, so we purchased 3 pairs for the price of one.  Savings:  $160

We are enjoying fresh eggs from our chickens on a daily basis.

I finished an afghan, a doll blanket and a doll quilt.  I have no idea how to value price these items so I’m going to guess and say $125 after cost of supplies were taken out.  You can see pictures of them HERE.

We ate leftovers for several meals last week.  Waste not, want not!

Not working outside my home … Saved $100

Thus far this year my Vicky Challenge Savings  savings/earnings have been $5920.35, add this week’s amount ($1015) and the total for 2017 thus far comes to $6935.35.
