What I'm Reading: 2/21/2018

I stopped by the library in town today and picked up a few gardening books to read ... yes, I'm in a get ready for gardening season frame of mind!

and Martha Stewart Gardening Month-By-Month

I’m still working my way through  The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder in a group study of the book.

Yes, I have multiple books in various stages of being read at all times, that's just the way I read!

  1. No gardening books, here. Our high today may get up to 17*. I ordered some non GMO vegetables from the co-op so I guess you could say that my ‘gardening’ is just about done. ha!
I’m still slowly working my way through The Case Against Sugar and The Big Book Of Herbs. I finished the first chapter of Still Life by Louise Penny. I’m about halfway through an older Smithsonian Magazine. The Nature Notes Of An Edwardian Lady was skipped through. I’m more interested in the graphics and notes rather than the poetry. I still have a stack of books to go through but I put them out of sight so I could concentrate on just a few at a time. Not to mention, the clutter starts to make me crazy.

  2. Hi there Patti!
When it comes to the books on your side table, we are very much alike. :)
Right now I have a stack of French Country and Vintage Style magazines I picked up at an Estate Sale that I am looking through for creative decorating ideas. The books I am in the process of reading right now are:
1.The Modern Guide to Made-From-Scratch Living: Hand Made by Melissa K Norris
    2. Tearoom for Two (Guidepost Tearoom Mystery Series) by Susan Page Davis
    3. Wishes Are Like...(the sequel to Wren Bay) by Clarice Fox-Hughes Love her books!
    4. The Laurel's Kitchen Bread Book: A guide to Whole-Grain Breadmaking by Laurel Robertson with Carol Flinders & Bronwen Godfry

I recently bought some Einkorn berries and thought it would be nice to try a different bread recipe than usual..maybe starting with a poolish...
Thanks for sharing what is on your reading list...the Vegetable Gardining in the Southeast looks good. Let us know how you like it, being in TN it will be applicable to me also :)
    Thanks!
