Photo Friday ... those toe things!

You know ... those foam toe things that you put between your toes when you're painting your toenails to keep from getting your polish smeared???

Well, I have another use for them ...

I keep my full or partially full sewing machine bobbins in them!

These were in a box of stuff a dear friend from Tennessee gave me while visiting her.  I knew immediately what I would do with them once I got home.

The bobbins fit perfectly, there are no hanging threads and I can see at a glance what I've got.

When it comes to bobbin storage and care, in my book, it doesn't get any better than this!

How about you, how do you store your sewing machine bobbins?

  2. Super cool idea! I bought a box from Clotilde I think, with foam and slots for about 30 bobbins.

  3. What a great idea.... now to remember where I put those things, since I can't reach my toes and breathe anymore! Seriously cool idea!

    1. LOL Kathy, let's just say those 'toe things' are multi -purpose and leave our ability to reach our toes and breathe at the same time out of it!!!

  5. Brilliant idea Patsy. Need to try that as I'm always losing spare bobbins.

    1. Kim, I did too until I started using the toe things! I keep the bobbin filled toe things in an old cookie tin so I know where they're at at all times!

  6. No excitement or great ideas here. Mine sit in the windowsill lined up in a straight line right beside me as I sew.

    1. Jeannie, if it isn't broke, don't try to fix it!!! If it works for you then that's good enough!
