  1. Patsy! You have a LOT going on. And with travel thrown in the mix? Wow, if you need to take time for yourself, do it and don;t worry about the FB class/group at all. It is spring time and we all need to get out there too, haha. SN: I am getting ready to go through my fabrics again and if you need a particular color/pattern, email me and I can see what I can pull for you. :) Traveling mercies for you guys and have fun!

  2. Our porch swing is our favorite relaxing spot, too. We often stay out there on summer evenings until after dark but I am quick to scoot inside if I hear the coyotes start up.

  4. Patsy I love your goals lists and find them motivating to read too :). I hope that you reach your 20% emergency target goal this month and I find if you reach higher on your goals you usually get there.

The emergency funds is something we have been thinking of and in June to August I get a bonus carer's payment which I plan to fully fund our bank emergency kitty back up to where it was to $2000 and in August DH will fully fund the at home cash emergency fund up to $2000 as well from his tax refund cheque. It is so easy to spend your tax cheques and bonuses but this year they will be going to a good cause. In previous years we build up our pantry and purchased needed garden equipment with these payments.

In April I got all of my goals done apart from sewing hankies and eye masks and trimming rosemary bushes. I substituted mulching garden bed 1 for mulching 2 other garden beds as the plants were not big enough to mulch yet.

    This months goals -

    Financial -
    - Continue to save as much as we can into our home deposit account.
    - Take photos and list unlisted items in my eBay store as free listing promotions come up.
    - Keep banking any money I make from the sale of saved garden seeds or handmade products into our pantry or other budget categories to recoup money spent on broken down appliances, car batteries etc.
    - DH will continue to put earned gardening money into the home emergency kitty.

    Gardening-
    - Remove, trim and transplant the lilies on the other side of the house into the now amended new flower bed.
    - Weed garden beds as we see they need doing and mulch when needed.
    - Rake up any fallen dried leaves to mix with our hay for mulching to make the hay go further.
    - Put up trellises for snow peas and early Massey peas to climb up when they get slightly larger.
    - Continue to trim sweet potato vines when they go over the lawn or footpath.
    - Continue to use shower warm up, dish rinsing and blanching water to water vegetable seedlings in the gardens.
    - Trim French lavender and rosemary and dry them for home use and to sell on the internet.

    In the kitchen -
    - Make more jars of lemon and orange marmalade from free lemons given to us from a friend.
    - Make more granola for breakfast cereals.
    - Continue to cook all meals and bread from scratch.
    - Continue to build our pantry as we see specials that we can stock up on items we can use within our normal grocery budget.
    - Blanch and freeze any silver beet that is ripe in the gardens and juice beetroot and carrots for juices in the home as they get bigger.

    Spiritual -
    - Continue to read the BOM and bible as I get time and pray for guidance for eyes to see specials before we go shopping.

Hoping we get all of this accomplished this month.

Today I will start sewing to get the ball rolling as it is wet and cold outside and pick up some more oranges I have spotted on special to make more marmalade with.
