Those Pesky Mosquitoes!

A couple of years ago I was in my favorite little non-electric Mennonite store looking at some all natural mosquito repellant.  They had a couple of different options and as I stood reading labels and trying to decide if I wanted to try one, a lady standing next to me picked up one of the choices and preceded to tell me about it.

She said that it was the best all-natural mosquito repellant she had tried and that she had tried a lot of different ones.  She went on to say that she spent a lot of time outdoors and could highly recommend the one she held in her hand.

The price was $5.50 for a 4 ounce bottle, which the lady said was a very good price, so I purchased a bottle.  Let me just say that we have a very healthy mosquito population in our area so I soon had opportunity to try it out.

I was amazed (1) that it worked for me (2) that it worked for my husband and (3) that I had never heard of it before.  I mean this stuff worked for both my husband and myself!  I found myself asking … where has this been, people need to know about this stuff.  It goes without saying that not all all-natural products work for all people, I guess that's why I was having trouble deciding which option to buy or if I would even purchase one.  I don't like wasting my money!

Needless to say, every time I've been back to that little non-electric Mennonite store I've purchased what I hoped was enough to last until we were able to go back (this little non-electric Mennonite store is only 10 hours away from us).

I was surprised to find that Amazon carried it …

I'm so happy to have found this!  It is very much a staple in my pantry now!

  1. Thank you for the recommendation. We use No Bites from Hopewell Oils but I really hate the smell of it on me.

    1. Thank you for another option which reminds me I need to get an order together for Hopewell oils!

    2. No Bites is great for repelling spiders. We spray it around the perimeter of our large deck each summer and do not have spider webs and only reapply it once or twice all summer. If we don't we walk through webs every time we go out the door. If we go to an outdoor event we put a spray of it on the ground under our chairs and stay protected against bites without putting on ourselves. It works very well.

There is a very nasty virus going around that is only responding to Immunition on the feet followed by Top Gun on the feet. Layer them. Nothing else is working so you may want to be prepared. It is a very hard virus to kill and the oils will need to be used on the feet at bedtime for 10 days or it comes right back. I have had it along with several friends and it will stop you in your tracks. symptoms are extreme weakness and feeling dizzy.

    3. Lana, I'm assuming it should be diluted with a carrier oil? Thanks for the heads up!

    4. No, do not use a carrier. You need everything you can throw at it! Hubby is taking me to the practitioner who trained me in the morning. I just cannot seem to regain my strength.

    5. Lana, I placed an order today including those two oils. I hope you get to feeling better soon. It sounds like a bad virus.
