Hurricane Florence: Entry # 3

We thought we would have a day at home today to finish preparing for hurricane Florence but when one of our doctors called wanting to reschedule our appointments for today (because of the hurricane); we found ourselves heading into town again this morning.

Traffic going out of town was almost bumper to bumper and the traffic in town was about as bad.

The ice machine place was doing a booming business with people waiting in line to buy ice.

We noticed this store already had their storm covering over the windows.

Our local Walmart had closed down and taped off all their gas pumps.  We also noticed that there was a 4 – 5 cent increase in gasoline prices everywhere else.
After we got back home, we finished securing things outside.
Cities and towns are beginning to put curfews into place.
This evening when we went back into town for Wednesday Night Bible Class there were several more gas stations, stores and business’ boarded up and closed down.
We're projected to start feeling the first effects of Hurricane Florence tomorrow.  Please keep those prayers going!
Until next time …

  1. Thank you for keeping us up to date with what is happening. Here in Aus we have had very little information on this hurricane. There was a quick segment on the news last night and that's about it. I am praying for all those in the path of this monster. Stay safe dear friend.

  4. Patsi, I will keep, praying for protection for you. I haven't heard from my friend in Raleigh. I think it won't be as bad there from the looks of the tracking forecast. As Jane said there isn't much on the news here about Florence so far. I have to look online to get updates. Stay safel
