From the Archives: My Pantry is ...

I've had a really busy day and haven't had time to write up a post so let's pull one from the archives …

In this post I talk about what my pantry is …

What are your thoughts?

  1. I agree with all your thoughts on keeping a good pantry Patsy.

We view our pantry/stocked food as a bank (one of many we have) as it earns us interest every time price rises happen. One week we earned 20% interest on our butter we had stored in our freezer as the prices rose that much. Also we find that our food storage earns us more than bank interest a lot of the time too.

A well stocked pantry is also our -

    - Insurance policy against natural disasters and sickness.
    - Rainy day fund should anything break down and money is needed elsewhere in the budget.
    - And finally our grocery shop as we can just walk into our food storage room or look in the pantries to make anything we want from scratch.

We should all have a well stocked pantry :) .

    Have a great week everyone.

  2. Absolutely! Two years ago when my husband was in the hospital for 16 days my pantry served us so well and for long after we were home. Everyday my daughters in law would tell me that they needed this or that at the house and I would just tell them where to find it. They were pretty surprised that I had everything they asked for.

    1. Lana, what a blessing your pantry was and what an example to your daughters-in-law!
