Greenhouse Repair and Expansion: Part 10

Here's where we left off in the last post on our greenhouse repair and expansion saga …

I painted and painted and painted … yes, I got tired of painting as everything got a second coat.

We glued a whole bunch of these felt tape pieces over the wire ties and I do mean a whole bunch!  This was to keep the wires from coming in contact with the greenhouse film once it's installed.

(We used 1 1/2 inch felt tape that we cut into approximately 2 inch pieces and glued on with a hot glue gun.)

Hubby secured the purlins to the wood frame using metal strapping in several different places to make the structure more secure.

We attached pipe insulation around the outside edges on both the front and back to keep the greenhouse film from coming in contact with the wood.

We cleaned up the ground outside the greenhouse on both sides and got it ready for installing the greenhouse film … yes, we are finally at that point!!!!

I am so excited!!!
