Weekly Goal: 11/17/2019

It's been a few weeks since I've been able to set a weekly goal so I'm making an earnest effort to get back to it starting with this week.

Setting goals keeps me focused.  For those weeks that have 'crazy' written all over them, accomplishing just one thing helps me know that the week wasn't a complete waste … as far as getting things done go!

This week my 'just one' goal is to get a batch of home-made vinegar based barbeque sauce made.  We ran out back in the summer so it's time to make it again!

What about you, what is your 'just one' goal for this week?

  1. Finish wrapping all the Christmas presents that go home with our oldest son's family at Thanksgiving. Then get it all boxed up for them to easily put in their van. A secondary goal is the two of us adapting to a brand new schedule that we are implementing for each week. We have always spread out the cleaning chores over the entire week which makes us feel like slaves to that schedule. So, starting tomorrow we are going to knock out all of the cleaning except the laundry on Mondays. We are hoping that this will free up the rest of the week for other things like allowing my husband to get in his woodworking shop and enjoy his favorite hobby. We plan to give the new schedule two months to really see how we like it and how well it works for us.

    1. Lana, Does this mean that you'll get to see your grands at Thanksgiving? I hope so!!! I feel the same way about cleaning! I've tried it both ways and my preferred way is to do it all in one day except the laundry … for the same reason you stated.

  2. I always have things that should be done. I love your shelf with all the canning jars on it above the window. Nancy

  3. My one goal this week is to NOT over do it after my back injections today. I have trouble not getting back to "it" for the 3 days I am restricted from lifting.

    1. Chef Owings, please do NOT over do it; give yourself time to heal from those injections. I've had them and I well remember those necessary limitations.

  4. Hello Patsy

My main one would be to sort out the non food side of my Pantry or Larder as
    I call it.

Although my kitchen is small I am blessed with a good sized walk in Larder.

I also have many other little things I want and need to do 😀

  5. Cook for myself. I have plenty of food in the fridge, freezer, and shelves. But still, I order from Grub Hub.

Just being lazy. My weekly goal is to put on my apron and COOK.
