Christmas Holidays: 12/11/2019

(picture:  my front door and entrance)

We are down to the wire on getting things mailed in time to arrive at their destinations before Christmas, so that's what I concentrated on today.

All the Christmas cards that are to be mailed went in the mail as did boxes from grandma and grandpa to the grands!

I learned that a local school is doing a toy drive so I pulled some gifts from my 'gift trunk' and donated them.  This is one advantage of shopping clearance sales all year long and adding good quality gifts to a gift trunk at a fraction of the original cost.

We listened to Christmas music while out and about and also enjoyed seeing Christmas lights and decorated homes.

We continue to enjoy our tree in the evenings.

Things are coming together and I'm enjoying the process, that's a win, win!

  1. Everything is so beautiful! We got some cards out this morning because it takes an incredible 7 days for mail to get to Florida! It only takes 6 days for it to go to Germany!

We have been busy setting up a prank on our son for for his 40th birthday tomorrow. He has been saying ever since my husband turned 50 and he played a trick on him that we could not come up with anything to really get him back. Well....we will see what he thinks by Friday night!! I will message it to you so you can join in the fun if you want!

Dad was transferred to a rehab facility yesterday so we have side stepped Hospice once again. We are hoping he will be released before Christmas.

    1. Lana, I hope your prank on your son is a huge success!!! I hope rehab will help your dad and that he does indeed get home before Christmas. I know these are difficult times for the family. So sorry.

    2. The rehab facility is wonderful! Mom and Dad are both happy with it and they are working toward getting him home for Christmas!
