A Working Pantry Bootcamp: 11/20/21

Our challenge for last week had us looking at sales flyers and ads!  With the holiday sales coming out, it's time to take advantage of lower prices and stock our pantry!  Our assignment is to purchase something on sale for your pantry ... that you will use, of course!

Here's what we added to our pantry ...

pork chops on sale for $.99/lb!

They were beautiful and thick and not in tiny pieces.  We were delighted to find them!

Our challenge for next week is ... we're not going to have one!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday week and weekend and we'll pick back up with a new challenge after Thanksgiving!

(You can always substitute something totally different if a particular assignment doesn’t work for you. Just tell us what you’re substituting.)

Until next time!

  1. Sweet potatoes for 38 cents a pound. Pringles chips were free with iBotta and coupon. Grandchildren will enjoy them next week. Many other items that I am not remembering.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

    1. Lana, you are an amazing shopper! That's a good price for sweet potatoes and of course you can't beat free for the chips!

  2. I am not sure what happened, but I got Butterball turkey, about 9 pounds each for $4.12 cents and about that much for the other. So, $8 for two turkeys. One is ready to go into the oven. Cokes in 12-pack were b2g2, so I did and got 4.
