Last summer we gave this same neighbor enough eggs to fill her incubator and hatch baby chicks for herself, she made the offer then to hatch some for us, but the timing wasn't right. Her call today was to find out if we were ready ... we are!
On Friday we will be taking her 22 unrefrigerated, clean, unwashed eggs to fill her incubator. We started collecting the eggs today.
If all goes well approximately 21 days from Friday, we will have new baby chicks.
