Learning To Be Less Dependent Upon the Grocery Store: All Purpose Cleaner

In the last entry I shared the homemade laundry detergent recipe that I use and this week I'm going to share the all purpose cleaner recipe that I use and have used for a quite a long time.

I've added it to my grocery store notebook that I'm building and put it under the laundry/cleaning section.  I also turned to the Basic's List section and added rubbing alcohol and Dawn  dish washing detergent to it.

Homemade All Purpose Cleaner

(I use this on glass too.)

1 cup of rubbing alcohol
1 tablespoon of Dawn dish washing detergent
32 oz  (or as close to that size as you can get) spray bottle

Add alcohol and Dawn to the bottle then fill the rest of the bottle up with water.

I write the recipe on the bottle (a pretty label would dress it up nicely) so that when I need to make more the recipe is right there.

I'm trying to keep my cleaners simple but effective without a lot of costly ingredients.  The fewer ingredients I need to purchase the less dependent I can become on the grocery store.
