Sewing Day Accomplishments: June 16th, 2015

We're in the midst of VBS this week which means I didn't really have any time for sewing. I didn't want to let the day go by without doing anything though, so I grabbed about 15 minutes and did some quick chain sewing on the quilt a-long I'm participating in HERE ...
Here is what our week #2 assignment was ... This week's assignment is very similar to last week, except this time you just sew pairs of pairs together. Sew some pairs side by side, sew some pairs end to end. You can sew 3 little pieces in a row, then add a string to one side....any way works. Make some of each!
Here's my completed assignment #2 ...
While I was at the iron pressing the seams of my chain stitching, I pressed some more fabric scraps that I had dug out of my scrap bag earlier in the week.  I don't know what week #3's assignment will be yet but I'm sure I will need more scraps.
That's it for my sewing day this week ... not much but better than nothing.  Sometimes we have to be content with what we can do instead of what we'd like to do!
