  1. Patsy I have read through to part 8 and hadn't realised how much hard work and love you and your husband have put into renovating your home.

You are both to be congratulated for getting so much done and funding and paying it yourselves over a short period of time. It is never easy doing your own renovations and DIY but it is well worth the effort when you see the finished product and say "we did that" !.

I can see now why your comment to me was "you are building a foundation" for your garden enclosure as that is just what your husband and yourself did with building the foundations for your home.

How fabulous that you and your husband work so well together as DH and I do to get so much accomplished.

    Have a great week :).

    1. Lorna, thank you for your sweet words of encouragement!! It has been quite the journey and we still have lots to do, but we've come such a long way. Our goal is to have our home completed, customized and debt free by the time we retire … which is getting closer every day!!!

    2. Patsy that is precisely what we are planning to do here is to be debt free and have our home set up in an aging friendly way too before we retire.

We are paying off our mortgage as fast as we can and throwing all extra money into it as well as saving for retirement in about 13 - 17 years depending which spouse you are talking about age wise :).

Both of us still have a bit to accomplish here too in regard to maintenance, painting and constructing but we are getting there step by step.

Have a fantastic week ahead :).
