I've had making Italian Seasoning for seasoning purposes and for making Italian dressing on my to-do list for a while. In fact, it's been on my to-do list so long that I let myself run completely out!! Yikes!
Yes, I could put it on my shopping list and pick up a container the next time I grocery shop but I'm really trying to do what I can with what we have as much as possible.
The ingredients for the Italian Seasoning recipe are:
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 T onion powder
2 T oregano
1 T parsley
1 T sugar
2 T salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp basil
1/4 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp celery flakes
After checking my pantry for the ingredients, I found I had everything except dried parsley and celery flakes. Since I have parsley growing in pots right outside my door I headed out and snipped a bowl full and into the dehydrator it went.
until next time,

Thank you for sharing! I, too, am nearing the end of my jar of Italian seasoning, and always wondered what the mixture ratios were. :-)
ReplyDeleteLori, you're welcome. It was shared with me a few years ago by a friend.
DeleteSounds yummy and no weird preservatives either! BTW I saw those PW measuring spoons are on sale on Amazon :)
