~ from my home to yours ... ~
I love our little home, it's perfect for us! There's warmth and love within its walls and yes, mason jars, home preserved foods, herbs, books, WIP projects, lots of snuggly quilts, a swing on the front porch and a rocking chair nearby! We call it home and we call ourselves blessed. We give God the glory for He has had and continues to have His hand in it all!

Even the Squirrels Prepare for Winter!

I looked out my storm door this afternoon and saw this fellow walking along the porch railing!  Look what he had in his mouth!

I couldn't help but think 'that even the squirrels prepare for winter' ... enough said!

I hope everyone has had a great day.  This afternoon I took a walk/run and then afterward sat down to work on my 'to-do' list for the upcoming week, which by the way includes preparing for winter!

Until next time,

  2. Good morning! My houseguest for the weekend just left and I, too, am planning out my week. The temps this morning are 42* and the northern suburbs are under a frost advisory. Yes, it's time to prepare for winter. I'll be menu planning over breakfast and my to-do list includes stowing the deck furniture, trimming back my planters, and getting everything put away for the winter. Wishing you a wonderful day!

    1. Lori, our low last night was 40 degrees, truthfully, it's a bit early for our temps to be that low at night. I'm pretty sure it's a short-lived thing, but its another sign that fall temps have arrived early this year for our area. Enjoyed reading about your 'to-do' list, I hope you get it all accomplished!
