Mornings with Me: 11/9/24

After morning chores, I was still in a mood to sew, so when hubby said he was going to town to run an errand, I opted to stay home and sew some more!

Remember that Santa fabric I shared about in yesterday's post, I used that and a thrift store cotton sheet to make two totally different items!

You can pop over to my sewing blog, Grandma's Got a Sewing Machine and see what I'm talking about; I am so pleased with my efforts!

Look at the bargain's hubby found while out!!!
That's a lot of quick and easy meals at a fraction of the full price for each!

We make it a practice when we have errands to run, that we always stop in at a couple of the grocery stores where we typically find bargains ... if they have any!  Bargains are getting harder and harder to find!

Hubby hit the jackpot this morning and all but one package of the baloney went in the freezer for future use.

That's it, that was my morning, how was yours?

until next time,

  1. Nice deals! I got an email from Sam's Club that I have $20 in Sam's cash and $30 more pending. I wish I knew what I did to earn it so I could keep it up! I will use those dollars for food for the holidays. I got menus made for Thanksgiving week so I can look for the food items I still need on sale. We will be having a birthday party for our soon to be four year old granddaughter so the presents got wrapped and ready today. Hubby is working on washing the beds for our visitors. The fence crew was here this morning and got all the replacement posts set and all the cross boards put on. We got more done than I thought!

    1. Lana, if you're a Sam's Club plus member, then it could be your rewards cash. You earn cash rewards according to how much you spend throughout the year. We save our rewards cash all through the year and pay for each year's membership.

You did have a busy morning! I'm so glad you get to participate in your granddaughter's birthday. Grands are just the best!

We don't realize just how much we accomplish until we start writing it down!
