~ from my home to yours ... ~
I love our little home, it's perfect for us! There's warmth and love within its walls and yes, mason jars, home preserved foods, herbs, books, WIP projects, lots of snuggly quilts, a swing on the front porch and a rocking chair nearby! We call it home and we call ourselves blessed. We give God the glory for He has had and continues to have His hand in it all!

From My Home to Yours: 9/1/25

 From My Home to Yours

9/1/25

~ It's the first of September and I'm back as promised! ~

In my last post I shared what I had done in the #everybitcountschallenge for days 1 through 8 and then I told you that I was going to have to take a break and explained the reason why.

I also told you that I would be back and that when I returned, I would pick back up with the #everybitcountschallenge and finish out the 31 days I had committed too.

As you can see, I am back and ready to do what I told you I would do ... finish out the 31 days of the #everybitcountschallenge.  However, I tweaked one of the rules somewhat for myself, here's what 'my' tweaked rule looks like ...

instead of doing the remaining 23 days of the challenge consecutively, I will do them as often as I can, depending on what I have to work with.  I hope that makes sense.  It will take me longer, but in the end, I'll have a total of 31 days of focused restocking my pantry.

Here are a few things I'll be working with this week ...

tomatoes

grapes

onions (yellow, sweet and red)

okra

peppers

potatoes

cucumbers

Yes, God has certainly blessed us with garden produce, but why should I be surprised, it is what I along with many of you prayed for us since our garden was a 'it didn't happen' this year due to hubby's illness, a drought and then flooding!

I guess you know where you will find me this week ... in the kitchen working to restock my pantry!

I should be able to knock out several of those 23 days left in my #everybitcountschallenge this week.  Meet me back here on Friday and I'll update my progress.

That's all for this post!

Until the next time ...
