Made 90 vitamin c capsules:  ($.15/capsule after cost of supplies) Saved $13.50

Made 3 quarts kefir milk:  Saved $2.04 per quart … total savings:  $6.12

Planted the following plants that I grew from seeds (I am averaging each plant at $1 per plant):  16 cockscone plants; 8 soapwort plants; 31 tomato plants; 16 rabbit tobacco plants:  Saved:  $71

Chickens laid 3 dozen eggs this week:  Saved $6

Completely emptied out one compost bin and added it to various raised beds and pots  ($4.99 per cubic foot x 10) :  Saved $49.99  (You can see some of it in the wheel barrow in the picture.)

Saved $110.18 by taking advantage of sales, coupons and clearance items.

Used neither heat nor air conditioner 1 day this past week: Saved $13

Yard work/gardening/landscaping (does not include mowing) (10 hours x $10 per hour for labor):  Saved $100

Harvested and dried the following herbs:  lavender ($2.06/ounce): $2.06 and sage ($.97/ounce x 2): $1.94 … Saved $4

My husband replaced the switch on our well water pump:  Saved on labor … $100

Thus far this year my Vicky Challenge savings/earnings have been $5,969.49, add this week’s amount ($523.79) and I/we have saved $6,493.28.  I'm really enjoying seeing how much I/we save/earn by being frugal and working with our hands!
