I had another post planned for today but decided that I was just too tired to finish it up. Instead, I'm going to share a couple of pictures from today's activities ...
(It feels so good to feel good again! Hubby and I mowed and did yard work today ... it had been nearly 2 weeks since it was last done thanks to "IT!" Our yard desperately needed some attention!)
These are echinacea flowers that I snipped, bagged up and hung in the greenhouse to dry. I think they are just so pretty ... and they have medicinal properties too!
Today was laundry day as well and I hung our bed linens outside after washing them to not only dry them but to let the sun further sanitize them. We are doing everything we can to banish all traces of "IT" from our home!
Do you like where I sit my laundry basket while hanging out laundry! (It saves me from having to bend up and down for every piece of laundry while hanging it on the line.) It's a portion of a massive cedar tree that was on our property. That's a rose bush growing around it, there aren't any roses on it right now, but I can assure you that it is beautiful when it is in full bloom.
I hope you've had a great day!
Until the next post,
patsi

ReplyDeleteYesterday, Friday, was our 44th anniversary so we had a total day off and it was glorious! We ate breakfast outside on the porch swing and a late lunch out at our favorite seafood place. The weather was absolutely beautiful.
Lana, Happy anniversary! We're right behind you!
DeleteI think you need a do over on your birthday first!
DeleteLana, we were talking about that very thing yesterday!
DeleteI’m glad you and your husband are well! I like the look of your bedding out on the line!
ReplyDeleteEchinacea is wonderful.
Anonymous, thank you!
DeleteI have a chair near my clothesline now but was just remembering that when I was much younger and hanging clothes to dry that constant bending over and straightening up kept my back aching. I suppose carrying that heavy basket of wet clothes down the steps and across the yard didn't contribute a thing to the back ache, lol. I love hanging clothes to dry now, especially this time of year when the sun is so strong and the air warm enough to get things dry in double time.
ReplyDeleteTerri, since we have quite a breeze blowing most of the time, it takes care of the wrinkles too!
DeleteI sure miss a clothesline! One more disadvantage of living in the suburbs with a HOA
