~ from my home to yours ... ~
I'm really feeling drawn inward to our home, a more circling of the wagons kind of thing, if you will. A desire to make it a safe place from the world kind of 'drawing inward'. I love our little home, it's perfect for us and I want to be a good steward of it and of all that involves the people who call it home. We feel so blessed to be in the season of life we are in and have a place we can call our own. There's warmth and love within its walls and yes, mason jars, home preserved foods, drying herbs, books, WIP projects, lots of snuggly quilts, a swing on the front porch and a rocking chair nearby! We call it home and we call ourselves blessed. We give God the glory for He truly has had His hand in it all along! Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

The Week of Thanksgiving 2022: Thursday and Friday!

We enjoyed a delicious and quiet Thanksgiving meal Thursday afternoon.

We grilled steaks, roasted brussels sprouts and my hubby made some of his delicious made from scratch macaroni and cheese.

We followed the meal with some of hubby's made from scratch banana pudding and later had a piece of pecan pie.  (Yes, he made that too!)

He requested to do the cooking and I gladly let him.

I kept the dishes washed up, stayed out of his way and did some sewing!

I finished the last cuddle quilt top I wanted to get done for this year.

It was a beautiful morning of working together and later in the day, enjoying the labor of our hands!

In and around the cooking and cleaning up and sewing we sent and received 'Happy Thanksgiving' greetings from friends and family along with enjoying a video chat from our youngest grandchild.

In the evening we kicked back in our recliners experiencing that 'I ate too much' feeling, rested and relaxed. There may or may not have been a small nap enjoyed during that part of the day!!

It was a good Thanksgiving Day; we are so blessed!

On Friday, the Christmas decorations come out!  We're keeping it simple and light this year, but if my idea works, it'll be just the right amount to give us that cozy Christmas feeling without me exhausting myself and it over taking our small home.

Until next time,
