Blogmas 2022: 12/15/22

It's 10 days until Christmas!  It's time to start putting the finishing touches on the holiday preps!

I started on wrapping some local gifts ...

I found whole rolls of this wrapping paper on clearance last year after Christmas, regular price $9.99 per roll, I paid $.90 per roll!  The ribbon was also a sale purchase.

Hubby completed the first step in his annual fudge making which is to unwrap all the milk chocolate kisses.  Once he had them unwrapped, he weighed and measured out the appropriate amount for each batch and put them in ziplock baggies.  Unwrapping all the kisses is the most time-consuming part of the process so he's always happy to get this part done.  They are sitting on our dining room table right now waiting for the next step, which is making the fudge.

In addition, we watched our youngest granddaughter in her first school program this afternoon.  Our daughter videoed it and sent it to us.  We laughed so much that tears ran down our face, she was really hamming it up, she's got that kind of personality!

It's been a good holiday prep kind of day!

Until tomorrow!

Merry Christmas from us to you!

A Working Pantry is a way of life, a lifestyle if you will!

My pantry is intentional, purposeful, simple, practical, frugal and what works for my family.  It’s the food items and household supplies that keep my household running smoothly ready and available when they are needed.  It’s my contribution to our family’s economy and my work-from-home ‘job.'

  1. Your brown paper packages are so pretty. Those long after Christmas deals are great. We got three packs of drawstring gift bags for 15 cents last year and I wish I had bought a lot more than I did. I am baking some old favorites gluten free this year and it is making me nervous. But, I want our newly gluten intolerant son to be able to enjoy the goodies, too . I'm glad you could see that little cutie in her Christmas program!

    1. Lana, I'm sure your son will appreciate your efforts. From my small amount of understanding about gluten free flour and regular flour that most of the time they are interchangeable with little notice of difference in taste. I hope that's true.

  2. I would be consuming Kisses as I unwrapped! And, you leave them unguarded?

    1. Practical Parsimony, I was on the other end of the kitchen sanding on the new window getting it ready to paint. I know my limitations and that would have been my undoing ... just one at a time!!!
