Blogmas 2022: 12/10/22

Do you remember the window I told you about that we were replacing in the kitchen?  Pay attention to what I'm going to say next and see if you can relate!!!

The window looks so good (I still have to paint it) and I started looking around in the kitchen and decided that if I moved one piece of furniture, I would have better access to the window and could enjoy it more.  I moved the piece of furniture and then decided that I really needed to move another in order for the first moved piece to fit better.

Do you know what happened!!!  I ended up rearranging my whole kitchen and dining room one piece of furniture at a time ... yes, I did ... and I love the new arrangement!  I also did some deep cleaning as I moved and rearranged each piece.  Of course, this has prompted me to look at other areas of our big combo living room/kitchen/dining room area!

Hubby just shakes his head, he doesn't like change very much, but he loves me and goes along with my periods of rearranging furniture!!!  Hehehehehe ... who would have thought that replacing a broken window would set off rearranging half my house!!!

This afternoon, I set down to rest and watched some Christmas vlogs!  I thoroughly enjoyed both of these and have one more I hope to get to watch later this evening.

Erica Arndt, Christmas Vlog #2

Homestead Tessie, Christmas on the Homestead

Here's the one I hope to watch later tonight ... Lost My Thread, Christmas Vlogmas, Day 8

Before I'll let myself watch this last one though, I have to get my workout in for the day and then prep for the young wives and mothers Bible class I'll teach tomorrow.

I hope you're enjoying the holiday season; I am!

Until tomorrow!

Merry Christmas from us to you!

A Working Pantry is a way of life, a lifestyle if you will!

My pantry is intentional, purposeful, simple, practical, frugal and what works for my family.  It’s the food items and household supplies that keep my household running smoothly ready and available when they are needed.  It’s my contribution to our family’s economy and my work-from-home ‘job.'

  1. I don't think we have moved a piece of furniture on this house for twenty years. It sure would be a refreshing change. We bought ourselves a new microwave for Christmas because we have been using a small one for a long time that one of our kids ditched here after college many years ago. The light burning out inside was the last straw and it is not replaceable. My word what an upset the new one has caused! All we did was switch them but someone wants to keep the old one and someone else does not! So one said to put a free sign on it and put it out at the street but no one wants a free microwave with a burned out light. I, I mean someone, is determined that it will not be put somewhere in this house to stay forever. I can't imagine moving furniture!!

  2. I was nodding furiously at your rearranging story, I used to love moving furniture around. But my husband is allergic to change and I finally gave up in order to minimize the conflict. I describe him as an oak tree, once planted, he doesn’t move ;). Congratulations on the new window and the new look! Hilogene in Az

    1. Hilogene, my compromise is that I leave his recliner and the TV alone, they don't get moved, but everything else is fair game.

  3. Oh Patsy! YES! It happens all the time. And it's never just the one room but a general shifting of something in all rooms of the house as we sort out the repercussions of one tiny adjustment, lol.
