Mornings with Me: 9/24/24

I'm late getting today's entry posted, but better late than never!  Here you go ...

After finishing my morning chores and routine, I strained up the nettles tincture that's been in the works for several weeks.

I've found that nettles really help me with seasonal allergies, so it has become a part of my medicinal pantry.  I also keep it on hand in capsule form.

I prefer taking tinctures in smoothies or mixed with juice.

Tinctures last for years!

In addition to taking this nettles tincture as a single tincture I'll also use it to mix with other tinctures to make different combined tinctures.  (That's a lot of 'tinctures' but I don't know how else to explain it!)

(Those are jars of dried apples in the background, my dehydrator is working almost non-stop these days and apples is just one of the things it's been drying!)

After straining and bottling the tincture, it was time to meet online with a friend to start this Bible study.  By the time we finished, the morning was over, and our spiritual cups were full!

That's it for today, what did your morning look like?

Don't forget to leave a comment!

until next time,

  1. Busy battening down the hatches here. It is unheard of for our area to have a tropical storm. We may have 70 mph winds and up to 10 inches of rain. Outside is prepped and Hubby got gas and will be heading out for some some groceries soon . Bread is baking.

    1. Lana, I saw the projected cone area included your area and have started praying for your all's safety. We don't know yet what impact our area will get, but we are preparing. Hurricanes are so unpredictable! Be safe, my friend!

    1. Elaine, I will be glad too, give me a couple of days as we're in the midst of preparing for a visit from a hurricane.

  3. Looks like the hurricane took a more westerly path from Tampa but we'll get plenty of rain. PRAYERS for the people in the way of landfall. IT's a big one! Stay safe!
