Mornings with Me: 9/25/24

After my morning routine and outside chores, I set to work inside.  I was going to have an easy day and just do a few things until one thing led to another ...

First thing I did was strain up the echinacea tincture that's been in the works for several weeks.

Ideally, this should be in an amber bottle, but I didn't have one big enough to house it, so I used what I had, which is the bottle you see (it's a recycled strawberry cider bottle).

So, I did the next best thing that I could do without spending any money ... I went to my hubby's sock drawer and pulled out an orphan sock.  I cut the toe and heal out.

I slipped it down over the bottle and tightened up the top with a rubber band.
Ta-da ... hey, it works!  This bottle of echinacea tincture is now a part of my medicinal pantry for the winter.

Next, I strained up kefir milk.  I have a kefir milk smoothie every morning so making kefir milk is a part of my weekly routine.

And then ... I decided that I would declutter one small area!!!  You know where this is going, don't you!!!  You're right, one thing led to another and by lunch time I had a whole area cleaned and decluttered!  So much for having an easy day today!

One more thing, prayers for all those in the path of Hurricane Helene, we don't know yet what impact we will get, so we are preparing.

That's it for today, what did your morning look like?

  1. Busy lady! And what a great way to repurpose an old sock. I may steal that idea.
