A New Preparedness Class

It's been a while since I've done a preparedness class and a few of you have either asked for or indicated you would be interested in one.   Here you go ...

Circling the Wagonsin uncertain times and emergency situations!

As women we’re responsible for taking care of our homes in good times and in uncertain times.  We are the centering force in our families and our loved ones look to us to bring stability in unsettling times and events, don’t they?  It’s an instinct God put in us and the way God designed the family unit.

So, how do we accomplish this stability when everything around us makes us feel unsure and maybe even a little scared ourselves at times?

First, we don’t give up

Second, we pray like it all depends on God and work like it all depends on us

Third, we get busy … we must be proactive

That’s what this class is about.  I’m going to create a make-believe scenario that will show each of us where we are in our journey right now in our efforts to look well to the ways of our households in uncertain times and in emergency type situations … then we’re going to talk about ways to take us from where we are to where we want to be in living a prepared lifestyle.

We are not powerless; we can do more than we think, but we have to be willing to put in the work.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  II Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

If you’re looking for a reasonable and sensible class geared towards women helping women learn how to live in and prepare for uncertain times as well as emergency type situations, then this class is for you.  If you’re looking for a ‘dooms day, end of the world rush out and buy anything and everything you can find to ward off the zoombies’ kind of class then this class is not for you.

We’d love to have you join us for this weekly class over on The Tuesday Afternoon Club on Facebook owned by Annabel of the Bluebirds are Nesting on the Farm.

The class will start on Monday, October 28th

If you’re not a member of The Tuesday Afternoon Club, you’ll need to join.

The class is free.

For those who don’t do Facebook, I’ll post each class here on, A Working Pantry, just be aware that you’ll be missing out on all the input from others sharing their wisdom and knowledge that comes from being in a private group setting.   Comments are what makes the class so beneficial.

One more thing, what makes me think I’m qualified to teach such a class?   We’ll go into that more during the class, but in a nutshell … I am living it and have lived it for over 20 years … including the natural disasters … more than once!

Buckle up, this class will not be useless fluff!

I'll start posting pre-class things over the weekend, be looking for them and get ready!

I hope to see you here or there on Monday, you choose!

    1. Anonymous, I am delighted at the thought that there would be enough here who would participate to benefit everyone. The comments and the sharing of individual wisdom is what really make the types of classes I teach worthwhile to everyone! I'm getting excited! Thank you for joining us here!

    1. Susan, you will be able to read the comments that others make here, but in order to see the FB comments you would have to be in the group. I'm sorry. I'm very hopeful that those doing the class here will comment, that would be great!
