Weekly Goals: 2/4/2019

I'm a person who thrives on setting goals and working toward meeting them.

I typically set 'just one' goal for each week above and beyond my normal activities.

Sometimes its a small goal and sometimes its a big goal, depending on what I have going on at the time.

In this new feature I plan to start sharing that 'just one' goal with you here every week.  I hope to encourage you in your goal setting and to get encouragement from you in mine.

My goal for last week was to half-bake and freeze 12 sweet potatoes from our gleanings last fall.  I'm happy to say I met that goal.  I had wanted to do more but it just didn't happen.

This week my goal is to can some black beans, at least one canner full.

Next Monday, I'll check back in with you and tell you how I did.

What about you?  Are you up for setting 'just one' goal each week and working towards achieving it?

It can be a small goal or a big one!

If so, tell me what your 'just one' goal for this week is in the comments below, I hope you'll join me!

  1. That is such a great idea, Patsi! My goal this week is to make thank you cards for the people working our booth at the quilt show.

  2. Hi Patsy and I also work better when I set goals and plan out my days and week :).

This weeks goal is to make at least 4 bread bags to add to my eBay shop to sell. So far I have made 2 and have them listed.

Hope everyone achieves their goals for the week too :).

  3. Dear Patsi,
Count me in! My goal for the week is to blanch and freeze/dehydrate most of the carrots in the garden.

I always do monthly goals, but a goal for this week...hmmmm….Okay. My goal for the week is to finish sewing a scrappy fleece blanket. One of our church groups had a bunch of scraps from their project so I took them and cut them into squares. Now, I need to sew them together so I can donate the finished blankets to a nearby children's home. Lofty goal, but I think I can do it...….

  5. My first goal this week is complete. I paid $6 for two huge chickens at Lidl and cooked them and packaged up meat and broth into 10 meals. One was eaten tonight and the rest into the freezer. I hope to get some chicken in jars on Saturday when Lidl has boneless skinless breasts on sale for $1.29 a pound. The limit is 10 pounds and that will be a great addition to my pantry.
