Still Working on the Apples!!

I'm almost finished with the apples we purchased a few weeks back.
I worked on them more today, here's what I did ...

I dehydrated more and then made an apple crisp!
I filled the dehydrator up again and I still have about a half of box left.  I'm glad these apples have kept well but they are getting close to their 'best by' date which means I need to make a concentrated effort to use them up or get them preserved.

  3. We've processed quite a few of the 2 bushels we bought a few weeks ago, but I still have 1 more round of apple sauce making & canning to go, before they are all preserved. I even added more to process when I was offered a beg full of free apples! Hoping to finish that up sometime this coming week.

    1. Rhonda, hubby has requested that I do some dutch apple pies for the freezer so that is what I will probably do with the rest of ours … and yes, my plan is to finish up this week too!

  4. I have several trees' worth of apples here - fortunately I have friends with goats and donkeys which relish the small ones.
