Adding to the Freezer Part of My Pantry: Hamburger Patties!

I'm on a mission to add several fully cooked or nearly fully cooked meals and foods to our freezer.  Last week I did quite a bit of baking which allowed me to add some quick grab and go foods for breakfast or snacks to our freezer

Today, when hubby fired up the grill to cook our lunch I asked him to also cook some hamburger patties for the freezer.

He did and once they were cooled I bagged up 7 meals of 3 patties each to go in the freezer.

Next, I plan to make up some pizza's and add them to the freezer, but first I have some fresh ground beef I need to preserve.  Stay tuned for what I do with it!

Until next time!

  1. I had a day of cooking - cooked chicken breast and meatloaf packaged up into individual servings were all added to the freezer. There is bacon ready to be warmed up for breakfasts, more chicken and a lamb shank ready for evening meals for the next few nights. It's good to be ahead of the game.

  2. I usually have frozen pizza crust but I've never actually frozen a pizza to cook later. It never occurred to me that I could do that. How do you freeze it? In an aluminum pie pan? On a cardboard round??? Tell me more please!

    1. I put slices willy nilly into a gallon freezer bag, separating them with waxed paper.

  3. That's a great thing to have on hand! I should have had my husband put some burgers on the grill last night while he was grilling steaks.

    1. Lana, when we crank up the grill we try to cook as much as we can if we have something that will go on the grill.

  4. I had a previously cooked bag of 16 meatballs in part of a jar of pasta sauce and just had to cook pasta. It was almost cooked completely. I am so happy I found a meatloaf in there.

    1. Practical Parsimony, I try to keep meatloaf mixture in my freezer at all times. Meatloaf is one of our favorite meals!
