Christmas 2021 #6: Pound Cake

The past week or so we've been busy making and baking 'food' gifts.   As of this morning we had one more to do ...

a very dear older friend that lives in our community requested a pound cake ...

(We normally gift him a homemade coconut cake for Christmas, but due to changes in his diet this year he requested a pound cake instead ... so a pound cake it was.)

It turned out of the pan beautifully ...

One pound cake ready for delivery!

We've gifted several food gifts this year and having a well-stocked pantry has enabled us to do it without breaking the bank.

All those pantry challenges ...

and ...

All the looking ahead and planning for our needs ...

It's all made our 'food' giving possible ...

that's just one reason we live the Working Pantry lifestyle.

We're going to take a little break until after the holidays, we'll be back in January to kick off another year of living the Working Pantry lifestyle, we hope you'll join us!

In the meantime,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
